FILM Compositing
StageProjections.uk has been involved in fan film production for many years, but more lately, involvement has ramped up significantly. We have now produced virtual 3D internal environments for Potemkin Pictures' (a Star Trek fan-based studio) spin-off series called Starship Tristan.
In these episodes, the starship interiors were modelled and rendered by StageProjections as well as the compositing of actors (filmed in front of green screens).
The crew of the Starship Tristan has detected an energy wave from 17 Camelopardi, a nearby M-class subgiant star. We are scheduled for a supply delivery to its third planet, Niebo, a small colony inhabited by homesteaders from Earth and Centaurus. Strangely, there has been no reply to their hails...
I.N.S. Reporter Kaira Rappaport is aboard the Starship Tristan, interviewing Captain Privette and her crew about serving aboard a “delivery ship.” Without warning, an emergency arises, and the mission is suddenly changed to search and rescue with an alien craft which is signalling for help while firing upon the Tristan!
